Description:

While we're reasonably confident on the ID of the upright fruiting bodies. At the end of the piece of wood these were growing on about 2ft from the fruiting bodies the end of the log appeared to have a large concentration of the same fungi growing on it. Can anyone confirm whether this is part of the same fungi or if not what it is?

Identifications
