Jelly on road

Observed: 8th November 2012 By: notpopnotpop’s reputation in Fungi and Lichensnotpop’s reputation in Fungi and Lichens

I know this is a fairly common fungi ,especially on tracks/paths.
Wondered if it has a common name.
Also whether it grows due to rabbit droppings, though it's regular proximity to rabbit dung may just be because rabbits like paths too.

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

It belongs in a different kingdom to Fungi, but many iSpot users post observations of it in the Fungi and Lichens group, which probably receives more attention than 'Other organisms'.

As far as I am aware, it doesn't benefit from animal dung.
