Looks like pholiota but the colour is odd

also just about a chance it could be honey fungus but again colour odd
my thoughts exactly but gill edge is rusty brown so eliminates Honey fungus. Did cap have a greasy feel?

We went back this morning - after two weeks not a sign of it. Can not say if it had a greasy feel but we all said at the time that it smelled, not very pleasant - yet could not agree on what.
