November Hedgehog
Description:

Surprised to see this small hedgehog feeding at 1.00pm today. Later it crossed the road to other local gardens. (Hope it puts on enough weight to survive the winter.)

Helping hedgehogs

If you find a hedgehog that isn't going to make it through the winter (and feeding in the middle of the day in November is a bad sign) you could try contacting local members of the British Hedgehog Preservation Society http://www.britishhedgehogs.org.uk/carers.htm

The minimum weight to see them through the winter is 450gms (1lb) and any hedgehog below this weight is likely to have problems.
