Description:

Had these pictures in my camera for ages, so I'm afraid I can't remember any details of where I found this mushroom. Cap is quite fibrous/striate. Stem is dark brown with white fibrils, gills are adnexed, fairly distant and ochre/brown.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

I could be convinced with

I could be convinced with younger example and also appearance when wet. Found this Genus earlier today under Alnus but don't think I can narrow it down to species without microscopy.
