I can't as yet find a picture of Calosoma inquisitor but I have found pic of the more common C.sycophanta and this seems comparable.

Could you please link the picture of the C. sycophanta larva you found? I have as yet only found adult pics of C. inquisitor.

I googled "Calosoma sycophanta" + larva and found some others if that helps.

Thanks for the link, I think I found that one earlier too. I found various pics showing Calosoma larvae, they are very similar to Carabus larva and I do note the reddish last segment on those Calosoma larvae as refered to by Altus silva. At this point I am unsure of which one the above larva is you have posted, Carabus or Calosoma.
