Description:

I moved house a few years ago and for the last three years this plant (in a pot in the back garden) has flowered in July. Does anyone know what it is, please? It has three large round petals which splay out to the sides. The petals are mainly red, but toward the centre they become yellow with red spots. In between these large petals are small thin petals that are yellow with red spots. The leaves are long and thin.
When I first saw it I wondered if it was just a mutation due to disease or lack of water, but no, it comes back every year looking the same.
I'm guessing it comes from a bulb because it always grows in the same place.
