Description:

Are these black lumps the fruit bodies of a lichen? Any idea of ID?

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Possibly but equally possibly not ....
There is a non-lichenised fungus Hysterium angustatum (link below) which is very similar in appearance to some of the smaller Graphina and examination of the spores is often necessary to be certain:
