We saw this shiny bright insect in a garden on the Isle of Seil, Argyll, Scotland on May Day (3rd May). It was on a similar broad green leaf.
I think there are only a handful of records for this species from Scotland. That said, there tend to be less people looking per square mile up there so things certainly can be missed. Bear in mind too, that there are other, very similar looking flea beetle species that can be confused.
