Apologies for very poor photo

Apologies for very poor photo - I only spotted it when enlarged on computer.
Habitat was on a rotting stump in a damp, acidic Dorset heath

Good to see the photo though.

This is a species I still haven't seen (so a spot of jealousy here). Of course Dorset seems to be its British headquarters, though scattered elsewhere.

Just wish I'd spotted it when

Just wish I'd spotted it when I was out there but I probably wouldn't have recognised it as it looks very different fertile compared to the photographs of isidiate specimens I'd seen.

(I still haven't seen any Umbilicaria's!)
