Description:

Massed near the base of a dead (but still standing) oak tree in leaf litter and rubble.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

I did consider Pearly Parachute but the stems didn't seem long and thin enough in proportion to the caps. Also although there are Beech nearby this area is clay not calcareous. I'll have a look at the growing area tomorrow. Thank for the ID.
