                               Dead Canada Goose
Description:

About twenty one inches long from beak to end of tail. (Seemed a bit small for a Canada Goose. Young?). Lying dead on shore as tide went out - though the feathers were sodden on only one side. Must have been freshly there - no smell, no flies.

Latin name

You should add a scientific name to complete your ID.

Latin Names

Hell Chris. I consciously didn't put the Latin name there because there is more than one kind of Canada Goose and, knowing nothing about birds and thinking this was a bit small for the kind of Canada Goose I am familiar with by sight, I thought it better not to include it.

Latin name

Hi, as you have entered Canada Goose you might as well go the full hog and just press "get recommended" for the Latin name. At worst you'll be wrong but if correct then you'll get the credit for your sighting and ID, otherwise someone else will. Regards Chris.

But . . .

I did that and it said there are two kinds - so I looked on the internet and found even more! I really don't mind who gets credit for knowing things.

OK

That's your choice, regards Chris.
