Unidentified fungus 6

Observed: 12th October 2012 By: andy_mackayandy_mackay’s reputation in Fungi and Lichens

What I assume is a turkeytail found on a dead willow near property on the banks of the R. Blackwater.

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Did you look at the underside?

This has more of the look of Smoky Bracket (Bjerkandera adusta) to me but you would need to see the underside to be sure. As the name suggests it is smoky grey.
