Butter Cap or Velvet Shank

Description:

Growing in a large clump on the woodland fringe in leaf litter. Waxy in appearance, off white stem tinged with beige, white gills. Cap colour varies from beige with yellow/dark brown centre to a honey/peach colour with dark centre.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
