A small sea squirt of about 3cm long found attached to the underside of a rock at low tide.
No interactions present.
I'm not so certain - check the other posts of Ciona intestinalis.
I suspect this might be Ascidiella aspersa or Corella parallelogramma or (less likely) Ascidia virginea.
My recent experience with Ciona suggested a very soft body which is not apparent in your picture.
Aspersa is supposed to have quite a rough surface, judging by the WebPics. I suspect the photo might show some roughness.
