Description:

bright red and yellow gall that looks like a flower on a wild rose in chalk grassland. Difficult to actually see the gall that contains the gall wasp as it has numerous slim petal like/feathery yellow protuberances tipped bright red.

Thanks Stephen, it was an amazing sight on a gorgeous day walking through chalk grassland with the sea in the background. Could have stayed there all day. Recommend the walk from Birling Gap to Eastbourne very highly.
