Yellow foliose lichen on wooden wind chime in north facing suburban garden. Could be Physciaceae family?


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Seeing details of the yellow lichen in the picture is difficult. One possibility for a foliose yellow lichen similar to this is Xanthoria parietina (but there are other possibilities as well!) Perhaps put the name in the 'Search iSpot' panel and have a look at other pictures to see if it seems to be the same as the yellow lichen you have seen.
