Different leaves and much larger flowers than the Thorn-apple (6" long)but smaller rounder fruit with spines. Ideas please.Seen growing on a street corner

Thanks Rachy I think you are right - my books only describe Thorn-apple as D. stramonium which as I say is very different in it's leaf form. It sounds very poisonous from your link - not at all St Trop!
