I was surprised to see frogs

I was surprised to see frogs like this in August before but this one is having a laugh. Moorland at 1300 feet, or very close to that, maybe its the upland habitat/conditions? Some processes seem to lag behind those of lower down, eg cockchafers still on the go in July.

Cathal I remember...

seeing tadpoles on the other side of the peninsula in mid to late August about seven or eight years ago. They where at the side of the lane before you meet the burn on the way up to Fad.

I know what you mean, before

I know what you mean, before starting to spend more time in the hills I associated tadpoles with the early Spring, they are to be expected the summer long a bit higher up.
