The most majestic one I've seen, was at Inverary Castle. It had branches that swept down to the ground, very impressive.
I think there might still be some quite mature ones near me here in an old churchyard, old yews also- some old trees were taken down to the dismay of many people, if the monkey puzzle survived I will take pics.
I went past Inverary Castle on the Glasgow to Oban bus in 1993, on the way to Mull, wish I had had a digital camera in those days. Found a lizard under stones near Assapol House on Mull, one of the first ones I ever seen- also saw the first salmon on the end of my fishing line at Loch Assapol.
Its nearly 40yrs since I was up there, but Glencoe what an awesome valley. your Monkey Puzzle appears lighter in growth compared to here in the Midlands, perhaps your growing season is longer or the amount of rain you receive.
