Swept from nettles. 3 mm long. This fails to key out in Joy, and is obviously not A.marginalis, the only new species to appear on the recent checklist. Variant? Not Axinotarsus? Non-British?
This looks like Sphinginus to me, which was added to the British list in 1984 by David Appleton, who found it at Titchfield Haven in 1982. It's been found in a few other counties since, and I added it to the Buckinghamshire list last year - will send you the paper which summarises the previous records.
