Fungi ID from photos

Hi Joanne,
Lots of fungi can be identified from photographs and many more need a microscope. Try taking images of the cap, stem and gills. If you can get a cross section that is useful too. Make a note of where the fungus is growing, any smells and the texture. Is the cap rubbery or brittle, does it exude milk, is there a ring round the stem...
The Scottish Fungi website has a lot of useful tips.
But most importantly - enjoy!
