sadly not plums and custard !

as can be seen readily from the other photos of P&C on iSpot and the web - this specimen has not the lovely plum colour spotting, nor the yellow flesh of T rutilans.

It does seem to me to look like either a Tricholoma or a Panaeolus, as the cap colour is rather mottled...

Were the stems more uneven and twisted there is a resemblance to Collybia fusipes.

I'd not be sure enough to try an ID to species on this photo, sorry :-(

Yes it is not an ideal photo

Yes it is not an ideal photo you are right - my later photos are a little better as I have started to learn what is needed to identify a fungus correctly!
