You might expect gorse flowering in autumn to be U. gallii, but this looks like a confused U. europaeus.
There did seem to be quite a bit with odd flowers around the area, there were also very small low-lying 'Gorse' flowering. Unfortunately i didn't get a picture but i did wonder if these were simply stunted U. europaeus or perhaps U. minor (or something else altogether!?)
