Pisaura

Thanks. The adults are all over my grass so I should have known, but these - I presume - juvs are doing something totally different in a different habitat. Must read up on life cycle & ecology - it may be in Bristow New Nat, hopefully.

Pisaura mirabilis on flowers

I am not sure that this crab spider-like behaviour of the juvs has been recorded anywhere. Roberts states that they hunt on the ground, or on low vegetation, but I think this must refers to the adults.
