Mushroom that needs ID!!

Description:

Pale-brown capped fungi, with a pale brown stem and a large swelled-up bulbous base.Fungus was found next to Holly-Oak tree, in what looked like, growing in very rich black soil!

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Agaricus ident replied...

It did have like a mild Agaricus scent to it, yes! And the flesh had slight yellow colouration to it, so maybe its a yellow stainer?? My initial name that I thought it was was 'Scaly-wood Mushroom'but I could be wrong! Any furthur comments on this?
