Description:

I found this whilst digging over my father's back garden.
Was approx. 2 inches long, was able to sense movement of a stem of grass i used to move it before i touched it then grasped it with its lower set of mandibles, of which i think there were three.

It is a beautiful looking caterpillar, i hope i get to see it when it is fully formed. Though i did put it back under the cover of some shrubs so i don't known if i'll find it!

The horn distinguishes this from the related Small Elephant Hawk Moth (horn visible in images 1 and 4)
