Hello John,Im getting a few

Hello John,

Im getting a few caterpillars on the underside of hazel leaves by looking up into the trees at night with a headlight on. The caterpillars stand out really well in the headlight, not hard to see if they are there but a good bit of looking is for nothing.

Quite a few geometrid cats are found dangling on a silk thread from the leaves also, last night wasnt great with the wind but some other nights were good, the less wind the better, gonna keep at it before the leaves are gone. Let me know if you get a look on a calm night- I think some of these larvae are more active at night.

Cathal.
