Moth-22Sep12
Description:

Wingspan 40mm+. Sadly one antenna damaged. At lighted window Sat 22 Sep. Worn Black Arches? Or just possibly a Gypsy Moth?? Forewings certainly brown, not black/white, with conspicuous shaded cross-band. But Black Arches familiar here, and any appearing now would be late season specimens.

Gypsy Moth

Thanks for help with confirming this one. An addition to our list and a relatively uncommon appearance, I believe.
