This is a new hectad record, it seems, though NN39 is surrounded by dots on the BSBI map http://www.bsbimaps.org.uk/atlas/map_page.php?spid=238.0.
recording wildlife with The Recorder's Year on www.hbrg.org.uk/TRY.html.
There were quite a number of trees in this area but due to the weather that day, I didnt manage to do a more detailed survey. I have tried to get in touch with the Mountain Woodlands in Munlochy to register my observation but havent had much luck so far so will try the above adresses that you gave when I get a chance. I am hoping to get back to that area next year to do some more hillwalking / camping, so will be able to have a better look thaen. Cheers, Calum
The appropriate place to report is to the BSBI Recorder for the vice-county. If you like, I can do that through HBRG, as I know all the Highland recorders.
I managed to place a report through the HBRG and hope that I did this correctly andt hanks for the links. I will hopefully be submitting other reports in the future as my wife and I would like to get more involved in survey work within the highlands, especially upland areas.
