Description:

Found clustered under a bank at the edge of Loch Libo, East Renfrewshire, some hazel trees in the area

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

To Flaxton and Fenwickfield - thanks so much for putting me right on this and the other fungi I've found, I really appreciate your help and experience. I'm really enjoying this new hobby - and I'll get one right eventually!

out in the field

I found that the more I found when out in the field (woods) the more I learn especially if your finding lot's of fungi from the same genus as you have something to compare as books are great but sometimes you really need to see them in there environment.I am pleaded your getting interested but I must warn you it becomes an obsession.I love trying to figure out what I have found and you will get them right I am not as knowledgeable as Flaxton but have learn a lot from him.
