Many thanks for your five agreements, such a rare event for a seashore Ispotter, & i hope my 3 questions don't spoil it. 1)the old mitella/gooseneck problem at http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/233492 ,score 5 all so at least 1 more needed.
2) http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/120786 is it whelk or dog whelk?.
3) http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/290598 a spiny starfish Marthasterias glacialis mis-ID'd by an "invert expert" as common starfish when, at full magnification, you can clearly see the distinctive glacialis spines. (agreed by me,Mike Upton,& JonathanWallace).
If it's to be only 1 it has to be 2)
Mitella has been sorted (no thanks to the 5 "experts etc" who mis-Id'd it)
What an interesting little fish.
It seems that there is still 'trouble' over the name.
