Description:

Very rusted leaves of aspen Populus tremula

Identifications

Rust on polars seems to have

Rust on polars seems to have been particularly severe this year, I noticed a tree (a large leaved poplar) in Simpson that has lost almost all its leaves due to severe rust infection.

I don't

It just seems to be a more frequently recorded possibility than Melampsora allii-populina. I don't think they can be told apart without microscopy.
