Dark green beetle with dimpled carapace and red legs, about 15mm long. I wonder if Rowntrees got the idea of dimples for their fruit gums from this.

Thanks Jamie, I had a look at a couple of sites on the internet and apart from the colouring of the carapace, you are probably right, although I wonder how much colour variation there can be. I saw quite a few Leaf Beetles on the Westbourne clifftops last year.
I think it is the pattern of puncture marks on the elytra that is the key feature, but I don't actually have a key to these, so hope a real expert will come along and confirm!
