Description:

Growing on dead wood (possibly ash, but not sure). Probably not a fresh specimen!
Could not take one in situ (on the end of the log), so picked and posed on top. Overall about 5cm.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Which

Hard to say which on it is but it does say that X.longipes prefers sycamore

There were sycamores in the wood -

So that's a reasonable possibility. Thanks - they're not the best of shots, but you've been posting some very interesting fungi lately, so I thought I ought to try to find some today!
