Reporting?

There seems to be some debate as to whether it as as big a problem as previously assumed. Some of us who spent many hours tackling it feel a bit aggrieved about this!
If it is a "new" eruption, it may be worth pulling them up (and hanging to dessicate), but if established then there will be a seed bank in the ground, and repeated efforts will be needed into the foreseeable future. Especially on a river, where fresh seed will be brought down annually from infestations upstream.
I cynically suspect that part of the re-consideration may be due to the potential cost of any serious attempt to eradicate it.
