Pair of slow worms spotted at Goring Gap West Sussex

These were spotted on a trampled patch of grass at the base of a hedge dividing farmland and a public footpath. Given the difference in colouring I have assumed they are male and female.

You are right, the one with dark stripes is the female the uniform coloured one that looks like a big juicy worm is the male.
