Can anyone help me identify this spider sitting on its web in an ancient beech tree? The spider's body (not including legs) is about 5mm long.
No interactions present.
The tangled web might suggest family Theridiidae, in which case one possibility might be the species Anelosimus vittatus, but I'm afraid I can't make out enough detail to offer that as a firm ID.
