Have you got a picture of the lilac stem? or a spore print?
No, I had no particular idea what they were and just photographed them in place. I'll try to get a picture of the stem and/or a print tomorrow.
I don't know whether these will help, but I've uploaded a photo with a view of the stem - no sign of lilac-ness, but I don't know whether that remains as the fruit develops. I've also produced a spore print. The attached photo was immediately after colour balancing the camera and looks about right - a greyish mid-brown rather like common mushroom gills.
I might have gone for something like brown rollrim for this one however still does not really look right as not enough rolling of rim (although they are quite old so rolling may be less). Not confident enough to put it as an ID even as 'might be'.
