Do you have ant photo's of the leaves
Unfortunately it would have taken a good deal of "gardening" to photograph the leaves with any clarity. I chose to post these because they were small and atypical, but have the features of Knauta arvenis - they were part of a large colony. I've never seen a Scabiosa columbaria as hairy as this and there are no bracts below the flower in the photo.
My first thought was a very hairy not quite right field scabious and I can see the reason for small scabious ID, leaves would be the answer but this is what it's all about, discussion and finding plants that make your thoughts on ID wobble - well mine have :)
