Purple rings with yellow centre on leaves of a plant (Sorry cannot identify the plant either). Guess this to be from leaf miner but not sure. Any ideas please? I believe this to be Leaf mines of Enteucha acetosae on Common Sorrel

Hello Jan. I can't identify your leaf but it definitely isn't Sorrel - it's too hairy and the wrong shape. Could it be Devil's-bit Scabious?

Which leaves the question of what's caused the marks on the leaf and I'm not much help there either. Doesn't look like a leaf-mine to me, but perhaps a gall, fungus or disease?
