Description:

Plant with red berries that seems to be climbing around and entwined with a beech tree. I have no idea what this is.

You could well be right

Now that I look a bit closer at the leaves, many are oval and pointed - but one or two have one large lobe and two smaller side lobes. Both of these leaf types fit for Bittersweet.
