Query

I am wondering if this is Dryopteris oreades, Mountain Male-fern. If the sporangia are only about 4 and confined to the lower part of each pinnule, that is a strong character. It depends what happens lower down the frond. It should, however, be in mountainous country which is hard to tell from the Google map. I don't think Pity Me is such.

Location

The location is only given to monad, but I guess that it's the valley woodlands on the eastern edge of the monad, which are at about 100m, i.e. pretty much a lowland side.

As far as I know the best online access to OS mapping at the moment is http://www.streetmap.co.uk.
