Cantharellus tubaeformis var lutescens check this as it does not really look like the images of this species.  note there was a large patch of it on the pine debris a few metres away from 'normal' Cantharellus tubaeformis

There does not seem to be an entry on the species list for Cantharellus tubaeformis var lutescens which is why I have just given Cantharellus tubaeformis. Interesting that Cantharellus tubaeformis var lutescens is given as synonym for Cantharellus aurora whereas I suspect they don't look the same at all. Probably some more work needed on the taxonomy of this group of fungi.
