Fungus growing from barge boards

Description:

These fungi appear to be growing from the sealant between the barge boards (white painted surface) and the concrete of the end of the roof, on our house. The picture is about 10 cm wide.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

There are Peziza that grow in

There are Peziza that grow in these conditions but this looks to me like Jelly Ear Auricularia auricula-judae. Was it brittle or jelly like and tough.

Was it jelly like?

Probably jelly like and tough. When I checked it today it was turning black and had withered somewhat.
