Description:

Tiny orange red disc on bare soil which is a deer track I was not sure if it was S.scutellata but that grows in moss and S.umbrorum on bare soil but have put it on as Scutellinia only

Identifications

Typo

I know you meant Scutellinia (as in your title), not Scutellaria (your ID) - the perils of iSpot's 'auto-complete'! I have made a similar mistake with Melanelia and Melanelixia.

It does look like one of the "other" Scutellinia but it would take a microscope to check the spores and hairs to be sure which one

Just had a look at my id and if flaxton and Synangium remove there agreement from mine it will make Flaxton's new id correct as at the moment mine is still the preferred id even though it is not right.
