Crustose on Oak Tree Bark

Another crustose lichen I found whilst undertaking the Opal air survey.
This I found on the bark of an old Oak tree near a moat at the back of the chuchyard.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

  • Crustose-Buellia griseovirens
    Confidence: It might be this.
    Likely ID
    Diploicia canescens
    Confidence: It's likely to be this, but I can't be certain.
