Description:

This one I i/d as banksi last year, but not sure now. What is the main distinguishing feature from C. staphylaea, which I found recently? Can both be found in the same place?

Chrysolinas

The new Chrysolina AIDGAP guide is some help with these. C.staphylaea is much browner, but most importantly has much smaller puncturation on the elytra somewhat grouped in BANDS (which the book doesn't in fact point out). C.banksi doesn't have totally random puncturation as the keys state - they are often arranged in lines next to the elytra border. But they are evenly spaced with quite an indentation, which C. staphylaea are not.

This one is a safe C.banksi.
