Smaller than E.tenax/pertinax with clear pale borders to tergites.

Eristalis

Four other species to consider...arbustorum (pale face), nemorum (small, neat stigma on wing), abusivus (pale mid tibia) and horticola (bright and has wingshade). You need pics from different angles for all of these, really...the more angles the better.

This one may have a pale face, in which case it would be a female arbustorum.
