Found this growing at the foot of a felled oak tree in a churchyard in cumbria

I'd be tempted to go for Meripilus (Grifola) giganteus but they can look quite similar if you have a big Grifola frondosa that is a bit past its best. It is normally greyer than this and more obviously a series of layers. Basically I am not sure enough to suggest the alternative ID.
